One thing we've learned over the years is that confidence sometimes starts with something as simple as having the right outfit. The TCI Boutique was created directly from the needs of our mentees. As young Black women began securing internships, attending conferences, interviewing for jobs, and preparing for life after graduation, many shared the same challenge: they need professional clothes, but I can't afford to build a work wardrobe.
So, we did what villages do — we created one.
Thanks to generous donors, mentors, and supporters, the TCI Boutique is stocked year-round with gently loved professional attire — from blazers and dresses to shoes and accessories — donated with care and given a second life in the hands of a young woman stepping into her future.
Each spring, our signature capstone event brings mentees, mentors, and supporters together for a free, curated shopping experience where the next generation of Black women develop their style and build confidence.
Because every young woman deserves to walk into an interview, internship, or boardroom feeling prepared, confident, and seen. And thanks to our community, she can.
